WHY BLACK MAGIC by LOCKED UP ?

In 2018, a few months after we took over the Hotel des Ducs, we decided to transform the meeting room into an escape game room. Indeed, our room located in the basement and without windows did not seem ideal for open and warm meetings. On the other hand, this 80 m2 room seemed ideal for us to create 2 escape game rooms.

For that reason, We tested about fifteen rooms in Paris to identify the best escape games. We were looking for total immersion, rhythmic scenarios and original mechanisms. We also had to find a game designer ready to accompany us in this project.

After being seduced by the rooms of “The Game“, “The Lock Academy” and “One Hour“, we were impressed by the decor and mechanisms of the Black Magic Room by Locked Up. We especially met its creator Arnaud Genin (his company is called Play Escape) who simply has gold in his hands.

In agreement with LockedUp, we therefore duplicated the Black Magic room in Dijon, adapting the sets to the dimensions of the room, optimizing the scenario and adding some mechanisms. We were thus able to open the room quite quickly, in December 2018.

OUR OTHER ESCAPE GAME ROOMS

The size of the meeting room, allowed us to create a 2nd room next to the Black Magic room. So, we created “The Mystery of the Castrum” in the same room. In addition, we created the room “Monuments Men” in our beautiful vaulted cellars. Two original scenarios with incredible decorations and surprising mechanisms that we invite you to discover.
